Head chef

We are currently looking to recruit the position of Head chef at the Holiday Inn Southampton. As the Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the smooth running of the hotel kitchen.  You will be required to ensure that the kitchen adheres to its budget.   You will be required to be responsible for the management and motivation of staff and to ensure that staff are adequately trained and developed in line with Hotel policy.

You will also be responsible for the recruitment of the kitchen team and develop a succession plan within the team .

You will actively guide and direct the kitchen brigade to ensure consistency of brand standards and a high level of performance and presentation.  You will also be responsible for the preparation of high quality of cuisine that adheres to the standards expected by the Hotel.   You will be required to be responsible for the continued development of the Hotels menu - by suggesting and creating new dishes to enhance the Hotels reputation.

You will manage areas of stock and will be required to ensure minimum wastage.  You will also be required to ensure that the Kitchen adheres to all aspects of the Health and Safety Regulations along with Hygiene Regulations. Previous experience of a branded kitchen environment would be an advantage.

Commis Chef

We are looking for a Full time commis chef at the Holiday Inn Southampton to work in our busy kitchen.

As a Commis Chef you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, presentation and decoration of menu dishes. You will ensure brand standards are at the highest level at all times.The successful Commis Chef must be able to demonstrate that they can multi task effectively, be able to organise themselves and carry out instructions.

Food and Beverage Assistant

We are looking to recruit food and beverage assistants to work across our Open Lobby Bar and Restaurant offering full time or part time hours and flexible shifts.

As a Food & Beverage Team Member, you must have a passion for excellent customer service and be a good team player.  Your duties would include food and drink service in the bar and restaurant, as well as conferences, events, meetings and weddings.
