John Mitchell

Group CEO

John has been Chief Executive of Enterprise First since 1997.  Following the addition of Business South into the Enterprise First Group in July 2016, John took over the role of Group Chief Executive in April 2017.

Leigh-Sara Timberlake

Champion Director

Leigh-Sara has been the Champion Director for Business South since 2008. She is responsible for promoting Business South to companies throughout the South region.

Leigh-Sara ensures Champions maximise the outcome from partnering with Business South.

Andy Swift

Champion Director - Surrey

Andy has a passion for business development and is delighted to be working with Business South in the exciting expansion of the Champion programme into Surrey.

Andy has worked in the banking industry for 35 years and was involved in the SME market for the majority of his corporate career as a traditional business bank manager and regional commercial and corporate director. He really enjoys working to support the wider business community and has a passion for helping growing businesses.

Natalie Maxim

Group Marketing Manager

Natalie joined Enterprise First in 2014 as the Marketing Manager.

Since July 2017 she has been working with the Business South team to support the Marketing of the Champion Programme and events. Her background is in marketing, events and external relations.

Previously she has held positions with Guildford Borough Council and the Guardian Media Group.

 Kate Proh

 Business Support Executive

Kate has recently joined Business South as the Business Support Executive. She is working with the Business South Action Groups to facilitate and support the business led discussions, tasks, meetings and events. 

Kate studied at Southampton Institute (now Solent University) and graduated with a degree in Marketing.

After graduating she moved to London where she started her career within integrated marketing agencies. She now has over 18 years marketing and fundraising experience, working on both B2B and B2C campaigns.

Natalie Hunt

Events Executive

Natalie joined the Business South team in June 2015 as a Personal Assistant to the CEO. 

In 2017 she joined the events team and now looks after the smaller events at Business South, she sees them through from start to finish. This includes, managing the event bookings, liaising with venues, speakers and sponsors, to setting up on the day and registration.

Natalie previously worked for 10 years in the hospitality industry, as the Deputy Manager for a Holiday Inn Express in Southampton.

Shirley Pinn

Event Logistics Lead

Shirley manages the logistics for the larger events for Business South, including the Local Produce Show, Regenerate South and our Annual Conference. Shirley and her team ensure that these events hosted by Business South are delivered to a high standard, overseeing all delegate registrations, venue, supplier liaison and on-site production.

Shirley is also the Event Director for ‘The Official Conference Bureau’ and Destination Southampton Ltd.
