Business South Annual Conference 2017 - People, Place, Prosperity

Hilton at The Ageas Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, SO30 3HX

#BizSouthEvents #Champion10

In the year that we celebrate 10 years of the highly successful Business South Champion programme, we invite you to join us at our prestigious Annual Conference.

Over the past decade, together with you the Business South Champions and business community, we have delivered projects and initiatives to improve the People, Place and Prosperity of our region.  These remain the key priorities for Business South and this year’s Conference will explore the challenges, process and outcomes to deliver transformational change in these areas.

The influence of Business South is made possible due to the high calibre of you - our Champions and regional businesses.  It is the collaboration between us that achieves a real difference for our region. So please join us to hear from experienced speakers exploring these themes and help inform future collective projects for the benefit of your business and our region.

The event programme will include a compelling line up of speakers discussing the interlinking themes of People, Place and Prosperity, including:

Barry Naisbitt, Chief Economist, Santander will share post General Election and heading towards Brexit - what are the likely impacts on the region on our key sectors.

Mark Smith, CEO The Southern Co-operative will explore responsible leadership and what it means to be a ‘Good Corporate Citizen’ and a responsible employer of our region’s people.

Alastair Welch, Associated British Ports Director will be sharing his transformational journey and his vision for the Port of Southampton, one of the key assets for the place in which we do business.

Our Keynote speaker, Christine Ourmières-Widener, CEO of Flybe will share how Flybe has grown to become the largest independent regional airline in Europe, and how this success has brought prosperity not only to the business but to the community as a whole.
