A £2 million flagship brand centre for some of the most iconic motor brands in the world has opened in Southampton.
Run by independent motor retailer Snows, a Business South member, the showroom at Third Avenue, Millbrook, displays new Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep marques.
Investment is through Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), the NYSE-listed company which designs, engineers, manufactures and sells vehicles and related parts and services, components and production systems worldwide through 162 manufacturing facilities, 87 research and development centers, and dealers and distributors in more than 150 countries.
Its stable of brands include Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Lancia, Ram, Maserati and Mopar, the parts and service brand.
The purpose-built dealership, with a knowledgeable team of sales specialists, provides customers with sales, service and parts for Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep.
Stephen Snow, Snows’ group chairman, said: “FCA has linked up with Snows, as a trusted, customer-focused automotive retailer, to create a £2 million flagship brand centre for some of the most iconic motor brands in the world.
“Feedback from customers has been highly positive and we anticipate the FCA brand centre becoming a go-to destination for discerning motorists looking for the ‘wow factor’.
“Purchasing a new vehicle should be a pleasure and the new showroom environment has the senses tingling.”
Reaching out to the compact SUV sector in the region, the brand centre is to stock the next-generation Jeep Compass, rivalling models such as Land Rover Discovery Sport and Audi Q3.
Mark Austin, a Snows group franchise manager, said: “There is keen consumer interest in the Jeep Compass because of its affordability and lifestyle transport attraction.
“The new FCA brand centre will be an ideal backdrop to display the model and we cannot wait for the vehicle to be delivered.”
Mark anticipates up to 25 jobs being created on site in the future, from sales to administrative roles. They include Allan Lamb, new Jeep and Alfa Romeo sales manager.
Snows also represent Fiat and Abarth at Sarisbury Green, near Fareham in south Hampshire, and Newport on the Isle of Wight.
