ESET joins Business South as a new Champion

Bournemouth-based IT security vendor ESET has joined Business South as a new Champion

Business South was established in 2007 to be the independent representative of businesses in the South of England. To unite businesses, to gain strength from this collaboration, and to use it to make a difference to both individual organisations and to the wider economy.

In the last decade, countless business connections have been made, and the Champions programme has grown to 200 members. 85 per cent of Champions are making connections and doing business as a result of being a Champion.

Beyond making connections between individual businesses, the Champions programme and the strength that such an influential group of organisations represents, has achieved a huge amount for the region. Together, the Champions have promoted the area, demonstrated the importance of their sectors, provided invaluable thought leadership, influenced policies and investment decisions and delivered on a range of projects.

Bournemouth-based ESET is the latest organisation to join the Business South Champion network.

ESET, the number one IT security vendor based in the EU, has recently opened a new UK HQ in Bournemouth as part of its ambitious plans to grow the company in the UK over the coming years. The new office move will enable the company to recruit another 40 staff to its 60-strong UK headcount over the next two years. ESET established its Bournemouth base in 2004 with a team of just 12 staff at their former offices in Charminster.

ESET is headquartered in Bratislava, Slovakia with head sales offices in San Diego, USA; Prague, Czech Republic; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Bournemouth, United Kingdom and supports a global distribution network in 200 countries servicing over 110 million users worldwide.

Malcolm Tuck, ESET UK Managing Director said:

“With our new offices in Bournemouth comes the capacity to invite local business customers in to meet us to discuss their Cyber Security challenges and needs. We are looking to engage more fully with local businesses and support them with our products, services and training where possible. Joining Business South is an excellent way to do this.”

Leigh-Sara Timberlake, Champion Director, Business South, said:

“We are delighted to welcome ESET as our newest Business South Champion. The influence of Business South is made possible due to the high calibre of our Champions and the sectors that they represent. It is the collaboration between them that has, and will continue to achieve a real difference for our region.”
