Segensworth warehouse unit named Radial 27 as it goes back on the industrial and logistics market following extensive refurbishment

Commercial property specialists Lambert Smith Hampton, expect high levels of interest for a large warehouse unit undergoing significant investment and refurbishment.

A large warehouse unit in Segensworth formerly occupied by the wholesale group Palmer & Harvey is to undergo a significant investment and refurbishment in the next few months and will be ready for occupation by a new tenant in October.

The unit at Barnes Wallis Road, Segensworth, now known as Radial 27, was vacated after Palmer & Harvey went into administration at the beginning of 2018.

The landlord is to revamp the 75,000 sq ft unit, making it suitable for use as a modern industrial and logistics unit.

Commercial property specialists at Lambert Smith Hampton, joint agents for Radial 27 with Hellier Langston, expect high levels of interest in the property, which is available at a quoting rent of £8.50 per sq ft.

Adrian Whitfield, Director, Industrial and Logistics at LSH’s South Coast offices, said: “The events that led to this unit becoming vacant have provided the opportunity to carry out extensive refurbishment and improvements, making this a highly attractive proposition to occupiers seeking modern warehousing and distribution facilities in a location served by excellent transport links.”

Matthew Poplett, Director at Hellier Langston, commented: “This is the largest available unit in Segensworth and will provide any company with a high quality headquarters building to a modern specification. The additional 0.97 acre car park makes this an exciting proposition for a company with a large workforce in a strategic location halfway between Portsmouth and Southampton.”

Radial 27 was built in 1990 and comprises a self-contained, double bay distribution warehouse. The unit is of steel portal frame construction with part brick and part metal profile clad elevations supporting a pitched metal clad roof.

The unit provides two-storey office accommodation situated at the front of the building. Externally there is parking at both east and west entrances. The total site area is 3.97 acres. To the north is a separate car park of 0.97 acres.

The site is approximately 1.77km (1.1 miles) from Junction 9 M27 via Witherbed Lane and Segensworth Road on to Segensworth Roundabout.
