Thousands flock to Winchester Party in the Park 2019
Over two thousand people enjoyed a range of fun-filled activities and entertainments at the annual Winchester Party in the Park. Residents came out in their droves to enjoy the popular event at Somers Close Recreation Ground in Stanmore on Saturday
Those attending enjoyed gladiator jousting, boogie bounce and Battlefield South, and there were a variety of stalls from local charities, community groups and businesses.
Children and families also enjoyed all the fun of the farm thanks to the Mill Cottage Farm Experience, and adding a touch of thrill seeking adrenaline to the event was the JC Scooters Scoot Jam, where people enjoyed taking part in scooting sessions and watched exciting scooter displays at the skate park.
The event is a collaborative affair, organised by residents and tenant representatives in partnership with Winchester City Council, A2Dominion and The Carroll Centre for all residents of Winchester and surrounding area.
Plans are already underway to organise next year’s event.
