VIVID joins Business South as a new Champion
VIVID is the latest business to join the Business South Champion programme
Business South was established in 2007 to be the independent representative of businesses in the South of England. To unite businesses, to gain strength from this collaboration, and to use it to make a difference to both individual organisations and to the wider economy.
In the last decade, countless business connections have been made, and the Champions programme has grown to 200 members. 85 per cent of Champions are making connections and doing business as a result of being a Champion.
Beyond making connections between individual businesses, the Champions programme and the strength that such an influential group of organisations represents, has achieved a huge amount for the region. Together, the Champions have promoted the area, demonstrated the importance of their sectors, provided invaluable thought leadership, influenced policies and investment decisions and delivered on a range of projects.
Portsmouth-based VIVID is the latest organisation to join the network as one of the first Business South Champions of 2018. VIVID is Hampshire’s largest provider of affordable homes. VIVID have around 70,000 customers and own and manage 30,000 in the South East, mainly across Hampshire and Surrey. With plans to build at least 1,200 new homes a year, they offer a choice of housing tenures including; social and affordable rent, shared ownership, market sale and market rent.
Duncan Short, Director of Resources said:
“We’re pleased to be a Champion of the Business South Region. As the largest provider of affordable homes in Hampshire, it’s a great way to build relationships with other influential organisations. Working together opens up new doors, helping us to build communities that meet the requirements of people in housing need and boost social wellbeing.”
Leigh-Sara Timberlake, Champion Director, Business South, said:
“We are delighted to welcome VIVID as our newest Business South Champion. The influence of Business South is made possible due to the high calibre of our Champions and the sectors that they represent. It is the collaboration between them that has, and will continue to achieve a real difference for our region.”
